FAQ
Common questions
What is the file size limit for ImmiAccount uploads?+
ImmiAccount limits the size of each file you attach, and the cap is small (commonly around 5 MB per document), so large scans and bundled PDFs often need to be reduced first. If a file is too big to upload, use Split to break it into upload-sized parts, or Compress to shrink a scanned or photographed document.
How do I combine my client's documents into one PDF?+
Open the Combine tab, drag in the images and PDFs in the order you want them, reorder or rotate any page, then download a single PDF. You can mix screenshots, phone photos, scans and existing PDFs together in one file.
Can I combine payslip screenshots or phone photos into a PDF?+
Yes. Drop in JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC images (including iPhone photos) and they are placed onto clean pages in one PDF, ready to attach to a visa application. There is no limit on how many you add.
Are my client's documents uploaded or stored anywhere?+
No. Every operation runs entirely in your browser. Your client's documents, and any passwords you enter, never leave your computer and are never sent to a server. You can confirm this in your browser's network tools.
How do I make a PDF smaller so it uploads to ImmiAccount?+
Use Compress to re-image a scanned or photographed PDF at a lower quality, or Split to break an oversized PDF into upload-sized chunks. When you are combining files, the quality slider lets you control the final size and shows a live estimate.
Can I unlock a password-protected PDF, like a bank statement?+
Yes, as long as you have the password. Add the protected PDF, enter its password once, and it is unlocked so you can combine, split or compress it. The same password is tried across every locked file. We never attempt to bypass or crack a password.
How do I extract or pull out specific pages from a PDF?+
Open the Extract tab and drop in a PDF. You will see a thumbnail of every page; click the ones you want and download just those as a new PDF. It is handy for pulling a few pages out of a long document.
Is the tool free? Do I need an account?+
It is completely free, with no login, no sign-up and nothing to install. It is built by Lodgey for Australian migration agents and their clients.
What file types can I use?+
PDFs, plus JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC images. You can mix images and PDFs in a single combine.
